While he is very powerful, and even cruel, in battle he has a soft spot for Oliver. He isn't as intelligent or as strong as Tank but he is very fast a bit more mobile when it comes to fitting into small spaces and trying to stay hidden. Though Gunner is a bit prickly, with large horns and a spiked tail, he does burst out of his Pokeball to comfort Oliver when he senses his master becoming anxious.

TANK NAME: tank SPECIES: metagross GENDER: genderless EGG GROUP: mineral group MOVES: psychic iron defense takedown confusion agility hammer claw magnet rise metal claw THE POKEMON: Like his brothers, Oliver was never allowed to have Pokemon growing up. When he enlisted in the army he was given two Pokemon Tank and Gunner. When Oliver first got Tank he was a Metang, but evolved shortly after they first met. In battle Tank saved Oliver numerous times and for this reason they share a mutual respect for one another, not as master and Pokemon but as equals. Like the majority of his species Tank is extremely intelligent and is able to speak to Oliver through telepathy, giving the young man a tool to solve problems much more quickly than most.
