Unless you want someone who's going to lie to your face pretty constantly, I don't see why you'd want to be friends with Tripp. He tones down the lies the longer people put up with him, but sometimes he just can't help it. Friends would be nice because Tripp is pretty much glued to his sister, Harper, and feeds off of gossip. Need to know the latest? Come find him and he'll tell you - for a price.

This one might be a little more complicated. Tripp has never really had a romantic interest in anyone, but people are more than welcome to try, I suppose. Again, the lying is usually a deciding factor, but if you can get past that and his rude exterior or if you (shudder) find it endearing and slightly badass that he doesn't give a shit, then he's the guy for you! (Apparently, he's interested in men and women? who knew?)

Bring 'em out, bring 'em out! Alright, so Tripp spread ridiculous rumors. Actually, they're not COMPLETELY incorrect, but some of them are false enough to piss people off. So I can see why a lot of people wouldn't like him and would become enemies with him. Plus he really hates overly nice people or people who just look innocent, you know? So he'll get mad at those people pretty fast.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,50px,true] TRIPP & QUIL OK, plot hmmmmmm maybe these two could work together? both are from hoenn, tripp being a year younger than quil is. we could pull the childhood friend card. or maybe they just knew each other as kids (along with harper), and they became friends (or not), but then some incident changed their friendship and neither liked the other anymore. maybe it was from a lie, but whatever it was ripped their friendship/trust apart and it's never quite healed. :c TO THIS DAY, they still hold bitter feelings towards each other and haven't spoken since. and then there's that damion drama~ quil now knows damion's a player, so maybe he'd try to warn him not to get caught up into that whole complicated mess or get jealous, lololol? lol why would he care? :l hmmmm, idk yet. but yeah, just an idea! -shrug!!!- you can throw some more out there. .....or not to all the above. we could start on a blank slate. but either way, these two wouldn't be on good terms with each other since tripp hates nice people, and quil's a pretty nice guy. innocent, too. ....just kinda screams kill me, i guess ohyeah, and quil's a coordinator. and tripp's friends with finn, i think? well finn is his biggest rival, so if he wanted to help her out he could spread rumors (maybe some dirt from when they were younger, maybe something else) and ruin his rep or steal his pokemon or beat his face or something like that. I really really like this idea. Tripp has always been a liar, except to his sister. So I think, if when they were young and perhaps came across each other, and they became friends - NO. BEST FRIENDS. That might be even more dramatic. If Tripp became best friends with Quil. And Quil is really the only person who knew him before he became the person that he is today. So, if we flesh this out a little bit, Quil was a part of Tripp's history and they were best friends when they were younger, along with Harper. But, after running around with all the nice kids like a nice little boy, he started getting bored. He came across his Gulpin (now Swalot), Cassava, who became his pride and joy. Perhaps Tripp, thinking himself clever, decided to engage in a pokemon battle with Quil? If Quil didn't agree to this, Tripp just harassed him until he finally gave in and said fine. So, this battle was a big deal and Tripp made it into a huge spectacle and invited all these kids to see Gulpin versus (Cyndaquil?) and see how it ended up. Tripp got excited and pumped and ready to go and, after not even sleeping the night before the battle, he dove into the fray! ....It was a terribly awkward battle. Anyone watching could tell that Quil didn't want to be there and Tripp was just forcing his pokemon to fight, who really just wanted to eat everything in sight. Quil was obviously winning the match, with his attacks against the lazy Gulpin. Tripp started getting woozy halfway through and mistakenly ordered his Gulpin to attack Quil instead of the pokemon. Everyone watched in horror as the Gulpin took a sizeable bite out of Quil's (leg/arm/foot/neck/whatever, it healed into a scar) and then Tripp promptly passed out, exhaustion from the other night. Now, everyone loved Quil. And everyone had been a little nervous around Tripp because he was always just a bit louder than the other kids and liked to tell fibs. After the incident with the Gulpin, Tripp's family had to move to Lavaridge, due to the cold shoulder by the normally polite people of Lilycove City, where they permanently set up base. Harper and Tripp readjusted and Tripp eventually got himself into the rebel force. In the back of his mind, his family's sudden lack of wealth and their miserable re-start of a life was because of Quil's selfishness to wine to everyone when REALLY (as Tripp remembers it) Quil moved his pokemon out of the way so that Cassavo attacked him and he fell to the ground in pain. RIVALS TO THE BITTER END. Tripp hates him so much, bro. But he hasn't re-discovered him yet! Gotta save that for an important day P:[/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,50px,true] TRIPP & QUIL OK, plot about time i replied to this D: but anyway, you already know that i'm in love with this idea and i totally agree 100%. perhaps quil resented tripp even more because quil's parents weren't doing so well financially and they had to give up the money that was supposed to be for a trip to the sinnoh region in exchange for quil's hospital fees. now, while the battling was going on, quil would totally be at fault for taunting tripp a little and telling him to give up and stop because he wasn't going to win. and in his mind, he'd remember the battle as tripp being totally jelly that his cyndaquil had the upperhand against the lazy gulpin and attacked him out of sheer jealousy. he would probably think that tripp must have been jealous of the fact that he was going to sinnoh, too. so, when asked by the other kids what happened, of course they would take quil's word for his description of what went down, blaming tripp and all, thus causing the hatred. then, tripp moved to lavaridge before they ever got a chance to settle their differences, and he's tried for the most part to block him out of his memory. but those bitter feelings always remain. so yeah, when they reunite, it'll be filled with so much betrayl and angst and rage.
