She took her home with her, fed her some milk, and let her go. The next day, Dia returned to Poppy's doorstep. The two have been inseparable ever since. Dia's levelheaded personality and mild nature is a perfect contrast to Poppy's upbeat personality and she is rarely kept inside of her Pokeball.

BLUESEY NAME: royal blues SPECIES: sharpedo GENDER: male EGG GROUP: water 2 group MOVES: skull bash crunch aqua jet ice fang taunt swagger agility slash THE POKEMON: Bluesey was a gift from her older brother, given to Poppy for her 13th birthday, the year she was finally allowed to leave home on her Pokemon journey. The two got off to a rocky start, but now Bluesey is fierce in battle and always loyal to his trainer. Whenever Poppy goes swimming, Bluesey will come with her. He likes to teethe on various objects, specifically various human body parts.

YAHOO NAME: yahoo SPECIES: staraptor GENDER: male EGG GROUP: flying group MOVES: close combat brave bird wing attack endeavor take down aerial ace agility quick attack THE POKEMON: Poppy's main mode of transportation, she met Yahoo as a wee little Starly and spoiled him rotten. Nowadays, Yahoo may seem tough, but his sassy nature makes him a pain to handle. If he doesn't like Poppy's orders, he won't listen to them, end of story. The two argue a lot, what with their conflicting sass and all, but at the end of the day, they have a close Pokemon-trainer bond.

BLACKY NAME: hawaiian black SPECIES: duskull GENDER: female EGG GROUP: amorphous group MOVES: shadow sneak pursuit curse astonish confuse ray foresight THE POKEMON: Blacky was a Pokemon caught on Poppy's inital travels through Sinnoh, for no other reason then the fact that she thought she was "cute". For this reason, years later, Poppy still hasn't let her evolve. Poppy seems to act more childish around the mature Duskull, however, Blacky always listens to her no matter how ridiculous her orders as a trainer are.

P - FUNK NAME: p - funk SPECIES: porygon - Z GENDER: genderless EGG GROUP: mineral group MOVES: signal beam embargo lock - on discharge psybeam conversion 2 magnet rise recover THE POKEMON: P - funk was given to Poppy as Porygon as a gift from the rebel scientists. It's a naughty little Pokemon that just loves to disobey it's trainer with a trainer that loves to rag on and insult it. While the two seem to not get along at all, when it comes down to it, they work very well as a team and can take down almost any Pokemon.

SMOKEY NAME: devilsmoke SPECIES: drifloon GENDER: female EGG GROUP: amorphous group MOVES: gust hex stockpile swallow spit - up payback focus energy THE POKEMON: Devilsmoke, or "Smokey", Poppy's pet name for her, is the worrywart of Poppy's team. She's often reluctant to even MOVE in battle, for fear of fainting. Although she trust Poppy's judgment most of the time, on occasion she'll do what she thinks is best for herself rather than obey her trainer. She was caught by Poppy at Valley Windworks (after a whole lot of running away).
