As a child Hayley wasn't allowed very much time with other children her age so she found the transition to school quite difficult. Her first few weeks at the academy were quite lonely so Hayley relied heavily on her two Pokemon for support. Val has been a loyal and loving companion from their first encounter and arguably cares the most for her well being. Val is one of her more friendly Pokemon and gets along with all of his teammates aside from the occasional spat with Stella. Val is also the most protective of Hayley's team, and has taken it upon himself to keep her out of trouble, though this is an extremely trying task for the little Pokemon.

STELLA NAME: stella SPECIES: vulpix GENDER: female EGG GROUP: field group MOVES: ember quick attack flame burst confuse ray fire spin heat wave flare blitz safe guard THE POKEMON: Like Val, Stella was one of Hayley's first Pokemon, but she is not as sweet as her counterpart. Where Val provides Hayley with constant support, Stella acts as though she is superior to Hayley. Despite her snobby ways Stella does occasionally have her softer moments in which she will curl up with Hayley or enjoy a grooming from her trainer. Stella is one of the more difficult Pokemon on the team and is involved in most team drama. She tends to squabble with Val the most, but underneath it all the two care for one another very much. Despite their odd relationship Stella does care deeply for Hayley, but sees the world a bit differently than Val. Hayley occasionally refers to Val and Stella as her little angel and her little devil because of their distinctly different personalities.
