Another day about to start and he wasn't completely happy about it. Days seemed to be getting longer and longer and he didn't necessarily like it. Traveling alone was lonely, but necessary for him, there weren't many people who would like traveling with him. Not much to talk about, he was just way too quiet and awkward. He had missed this region though. He had just spent several months in Johto, and though Johto was nice, nothing compared to Hoenn.
Keiichi rotated his head around and waiting for his eyes to adjust as he walked out into the sunlight. It was nice to be in Lavaridge, he liked being in warmer temperatures and this place was definitely hot. The first thing he planned on doing was going to the hot spring. It had been years since he relaxed in a hot spring, and he wasn't about to pass through this town without taking some time there. His Pokemon definitely deserved some time to take a good breather. They had just won him an amazing match yesterday and deserved it.
He wasn't completely sure where it was though, it was relatively new. In order to find it, Keiichi began to wander around the city. Someone had to stop him at some point to help him out...right? He doubted it, just the way that Keiichi carried himself showed everyone around him that he knew exactly where he was going, even if that wasn't the case. He was totally awkward around people. He had spent the past several years trying his best to avoid people, that now that he kind of needed some help, he wasn't really sure how to go about it.
Keiichi placed his hand behind his head and smiled awkwardly. How would he even start to ask someone for help? Definitely not something he really wanted to do, but...if he didn't...he probably would never get to the hot spring. What was he going to do?[/style][style=font-family: Helvetica Neue; color: #cacaca; font-size: 25px; letter-spacing: 5px; text-align: center; font-weight: 100!important;]OUT ON THE CORNER IN THE POURING RAIN![/style] |

Who could blame her? It was a wonderful place! Nice people, awesomesauce Gym Leader, tasty food, the hot springs...
Ahh, the hot springs. Miyo had already been there numerous times on her trip. It was just so wonderful, so relaxing! What a great way to relieve tension, and feel at ease...
____
" 'Scuse me! Coming through!" A girl shouted to those around her as she dashed on by. Those people moved with little hesitation; they certainly didn't want to get knocked over by her. Miyo quickly rounded a corner. It was getting a bit harder for her to run. Feet beginning to drag suddenly, she slowed down to catch her breath. She set down the grocery bags she had been carrying, and plopped down on the ground, breathing deeply.
"Hah... What a workout..." Why she ran everywhere, Miyo didn't really know. Maybe it was the feeling of the wind in her face... The joy that comes with knowing that you're getting some exercise... Or maybe she was just unconsciously rushed all the time. Miyo didn't think she'd be figuring it out anytime soon.
After a couple minutes of resting, Miyo picked up her bags and dashed off again.
Except this time, someone was in her way. There wasn't enough time to get him to move... And like hell she was going to stop.
It ended with a collision. Miyo, crashed into the dark haired man from the backside and toppled over, sending her bag and it's contents flying.
My, what a great way to greet someone.

Keiichi lately had only been getting more and more annoyed by the day at just about everything and he wasn't really sure why. Why was he so negative about everything? And why was he so annoyed at everyone all the time. It was difficult for him to be around people, he never really learned how to treat them or how to deal with it. People in general just made him nervous and would make him freak out.
Lavaridge had changed. There was a weird feeling emitting from it as if something was about to happen. That feeling made him feel really uneasy. It was hard to figure out what exactly was about to happen, but it didn't take long to figure it out. Out of absolutely nowhere, this strange little girl dashed and ran right into him full speed. It was because of people like her that he didn't like being around out of of control people, or any people for that matter. They are just absolutely crazy and will do crap like this completely taking him off guard.
Keiichi looked down at the young girl and looked her over. She seemed to be alright, her brown hair was a little frizzled, but other than that nothing had changed. He recognized her off the bat. Her name was Miyo and he grew up nearby her. She hadn't changed much and by what he could tell her attitude and personality hadn't changed much either. She was still just as stubborn and clumsy as always. It had been a long time since he had seen her, but it obviously hadn't been long enough.
Keiichi folded his arms and looked away slightly irritated. "Whatever, just make sure you watch where you're going." Though he had always been rude to her when they were younger, he would never admit to anyone that he enjoyed messing with her. She was slightly fun to be around and had kept him distracted from his father, something that he really could appreciate. His father was a bastard and he could have used any distraction really. Keiichi's main distraction...was her. Adjusting herself on the ground, Miyo could feel the world around her spinning. Not in a literal sense of course, but this definitely affected how she perceived everything. She ruffled her hair lightly, trying to get it back to it's usual - but still messy - status. A light trickle of blood dripped from one nostril, a consequence of her complete faceplant.
Looking up slowly, Miyo steadied herself and grinned toothily. It took her a few seconds to analyze the situation and who she was with, but this was better than some random stranger. Or maybe it wasn't. At the moment, it was a bit difficult to predict the outcome of the encounter.
After fully observing her surroundings, Miyo leapt up into her beholder.
"Oh my goooooosh! Kei-Kei!" Excitement and teenage girl syndrome took over, and the shorter girl nuzzled the dark haired man affectionately, similarly to the way a feline would.
"What are you doing here, anyway..?!" Miyo's voice was perky and energetic as she poked questions at him. "I didn't even know you were back in Hoenn!"

He had no idea why it bothered him so much when people called him that, but he didn't like nicknames. Nicknames were something for little kids and dogs, and he wasn't either. It wasn't even a good nickname, it was something you would call a four-year-old. Keiichi was happy to see her but at the same time, he could feel the headache coming on that seemed to affect him every time she came anywhere near him. Keiichi groaned under his breath and looked down at the strange little girl.
"I just got back." He had just taken an extended vacation in Johto where his family lived and he was a little more than peeved at them. His father continued to rage on and on at him to the point where Keiichi never wanted to go back to them and that was what he planned on doing from now on. He sighed as he pushed her off of him. He liked being around this strange, overly energetic girl, but he liked his personal space, a space that she loved to invade. "Look, I've had a long day. If you must spend time with me, let's go sit down somewhere. I'm hungry so let's go somewhere to eat." Keiichi put his hands in his pockets and made his way towards the first restaurant he could find. It was good being back in Hoenn. He actually kind of missed it. Johto was nice and all, but whenever he went there he was instantly stressed out and wasn't able to calm down until he left. Could that have something to do with his father?
He raised his arm in the air and stretched lazily, yeah it was definitely good to be back. It felt like he had been gone for months, but he had only been in Johto for about two weeks. He walked into the first restaurant he saw and looked around. It was an old timey looking building decorated in Pokemon paintings, sculptures and just about anything else a person could think of. Keiichi walked up to the counter and ordered what he wanted and ordered another one for Miyo; he didn't even bother asking her what she wanted. He was paying for it after all, so he was allowed to pick what it was she wanted and from what he had seen, she wasn't very good at eating a good meal.
Keiichi then walked over to a bench and sat down, resting his head on his hand and glancing off into the distance. Why did his father get under his skin so much?
