A rather short brunette with bright blue eyes moved down the hallway, noticing the two lines of first years that were waiting outside the Great Hall. The brunette, dressed in fine black wizard robes with a loose green tie and the crest of Slytherin house pinned on her robes, grinned wickedly. She was amused by the nervous looks on the new student's faces and surely, her friends and fellow Slytherins would find them funny too. The little first years sure were chatty, though. She could hear most, if not all of their conversations, as she approached the doors of the Great Hall. "Annoying little pests," The brunette practically growled before tugging the doors open and entering the hall. Immediately, conversation died down a little as the self proclaimed Queen of Slytherin made her way down the aisle to her table. Her friends grinned and made room for her while the other houses watched her quietly. No one wanted to mess with her. She was a sixth year Slytherin who knew just how to push every single button you happened to have. She also happened to be a member of the Quidditch team and was an expert at both potions and dueling. She was one of the prides of Slytherin, a girl who happened to excel at most things, including beauty. "Students, please take your seats so we may begin." Professor Oak, the headmaster of Hogwarts, spoke in a confident and powerful voice, causing the brunette to hurry to her seat. Once there, she quickly began to gossip. Ignoring the girl and her friends, the headmaster continued. "Welcome to Hogwarts, everyone. Students new and old, I look forward to watching you achieve academic greatness. This year will surely be our best, what with some new students coming in as well as our older students looking forward to achieving a number of great goals. I would first like to give a warm welcome to the new professors we are welcoming into our school. We have Madam Winona," He gestures to a woman dressed in wizard robes. "Our flying instructor. There is also Professor Rivera, our Dark Arts specialist," The Dark Arts Professor, Karen Rivera, gives the students a cold stare, looking around to observe everyone. "Professor Reand will teach you how to care for magical creatures," He gave yet another gesture to a woman with short, sandy hair in wizard robes. "Finally, we have Professors Kelley, Karlsson, and Michelangelo. Professor Kelley is our Muggles Studies and Astronomy instructor, while Professor Karlsson teaches Transfiguration and Professor Michelangelo is our Potions Master." His final gesture was to a petite girl with brunette hair and an older man sitting beside her, with a man wearing a hat seated at the end of the table. The petite girl, Jasmine Kelley, gave a small, excited wave before turning her attention back to the headmaster. "I wish you all the best of luck for this year and now, we shall start the House Sorting!" Cheers erupted through the Great Hall as Professor Oak stood at the front of the room, holding the magnificent Sorting Hat. The attention of Blue Morgan, 6th year Slytherin, now turned to the opening doors of the hall as the first years poured in to receive their houses...
