In his younger days, Avery concentrated purely on his own skills to keep him alive in the wild. Even now he relies only on Lifesaver. The Chansey found him not long after the accident that cost him his eye and has stayed with him ever since, mending the little hurts and the big ones. At first Avery called her mother because of her tendancy to fuss over him, but after she has saved his life more times than he can count, Avery chose to change her name. Motherly and loving, Lifesaver is constantly looking over her trainer, often shaking her head over him just as a mother would and errant child.
