Mortar in order to learn to how to be trained. The then-wild Arcanine attacked her due to an eye injury. Crys had both of her arms broken in the attack, but she deduced that the Arcanine was not naturally as aggressive, and with the help of some other pokemon, she added him to her team. Archy has bad eyesight out of his right eye, but that doesn't make him any less wonderful in Crystal's eyes. She uses him both for battles and as her main form of land transport. His "signature" star is a collar around his neck, and he is very protective of the team.

PARASEE NAME: parasee SPECIES: parasect GENDER: female EGG GROUP: bug and grass groups MOVES: spore sweet scent sludge bomb giga drain slash poisonpowder fury cutter cross poison THE POKEMON: Parasee was one of the Pokemon that surrounded Crystal when Archy injured her on Mt. Mortar. Seeing that she had both of her arms broken, Parasee sedated her using it's naturally produced powders and helped with healing salves. She join Crystal's team as she trained, and they have been firm accomplices ever since. Her job in Crys' catching team is to induce status effects on the pokemon she is catching to stop them from running or attacking, and also to make them easier to catch. Her "signature" star is natural, a marking on her back in the correct shape.

BONEE NAME: bonee SPECIES: cubone GENDER: male EGG GROUP: monster group MOVES: bone club bone rush bonemerang false swipe focus energy leer headbutt growl THE POKEMON: Bonee was another of Crys' Pokemon that she gained when she was harmed on Mt. Mortar. He also helped to nurse her back to help, and happily was added to her team. Although he is still unevolved, he is used in a lot of her capture battles for his signature "False Swipe" move, which Crystal finds comes in very handy. He is very protective of their team, and although he was leant to Emerald for a short time, Crystal was glad to have him back on her side as she ventured into Sinnoh and Unova. His bone-helmet is the source of his star, a naturally forming crack in the shape. He's a very focused pokemon, wanting to help get the job done.

HITMONEE NAME: hitmonee SPECIES: hitmonchan GENDER: male EGG GROUP: human-like group MOVES: brick break mega punch fire punch mach punch sky uppercut strength ice punch thunder punch THE POKEMON: Hitmonee was Crystal's arms on Mt. Mortar when she was unable to use her own. He helped her out by doing what he could, also giving her reason to use her now-signature kick to the pokeball. He is her main battler and one of her most trusted friends. She wouldn't be the same without him, and he is happy to leap to the front lines when it is necessary. Instead of natural occurances or a collar, Hitmonee has a star shaped sticker on each of his gloves.

XATEE NAME: xatee SPECIES: xatu GENDER: female EGG GROUP: flying group MOVES: drill peck fly psychic future sight psycho shift miracle eye confuse ray teleport THE POKEMON: Xatee was oncee a Natu that helped Crystal on Mt. Mortar. She is Crystal's main form of air transportation and well-loved by the entire team. She is very loyal to Crys, and having evolved has a star-shaped sticker under her eye to demonstrate that she is still part of Crytal's star team. Although she's not used in the capture cycle very much, Crys still relies on Xatee, and loves the Xatu very much.

MEGA NAME: mega SPECIES: meganium GENDER: male EGG GROUP: egg group MOVES: frenzy plant razor leaf tackle synthesis poison powder sweet scent magical leaf petal dance THE POKEMON: Mega was the only pokemon to not follow Crystal's naming team. When the other two starter pokemon, Cyndaquil and Totodile left the gym, he wanted to get away and go on a similar adventure. He sought Crystal out in order to do so, escaping from the gym to locate her. When he found her, she told him that she didn't want any more pokemon but he did not give up. With a battle that demonstrated his mega courage and dedication, Crys decided that she couldn't not have him and named him Mega, breaking the chain to demonstrate his natural talent. He is very competitive with the other starter pokemon, and wears the star pendant that Chumee once wore when she was on Crystal's main team.
