Thinking that it would be a funny play on words, his mother captured him a Scyther, and he was given it as a birthday present. Lachie was a little disappointed that his first pokemon wasn't a steel type until one day he found a box that had been dropped outside of the Pokemon Centre. Giving it to Scyther to try to open, something strange happened and he evolved into the Scizor he is today, a steel type as Lachie had always wanted. He is the only pokemon that Lachie uses against criminals in an attacking fashion, as much as he dislikes using violence to bring them in.

DAGGER NAME: dagger SPECIES: skarmory GENDER: female EGG GROUP: flying group MOVES: Fly Night Slash Air Slash Automize Steel Wing Metal Sound Air Cutter Feint THE POKEMON: The first pokemon that Lachie captured on his own was the a weak Skarmory. Dagger had been injured by a fire pokemon, and her wings were badly burned. Seeing she was a steel type, Lachlan used Scythe to bring her down using False Swipe, and they joined forces from there. The Skarmory is very loyal to her trainer, and once she was healed back to top condition, was actually quite the force to be reckoned with. Now used both as an attacker and a primary form of aerial transport, Lachlan couldn't do without the steel bird on his team.

THE POKEMON:
Mallet was a singular Metang when Lachlan first found it. Mallet had only just combined with another Beldum, so it was new to having control of it's attacks and dove in head first against Scizor and Skarmory. Much to Lachlan's disdain, they both had a hard time adjusting to being partners at first, but he quickly became another way for Lachie to get around using his magnet rise ability. When they went back to their meeting place, there was another, very strong Metang. Not knowing that combining them would cause evolution, Lachie engaged in battle at which point Mallet evolved into a Metagross. Still getting used to the four prongs he now possesses, the pair are almost back to square one.

THE POKEMON:
Ram was Lachlan's most recent and most difficult acquisiton. He and his three steel types were training on a mountain when they were attacked by four steelixes. They were outnumbered and ran for quite some time, all of his pokemon very week. Ram was not part of the four however, and came to his aide to defend against the slightly smaller steel types, and then offered himself as the option to battle. Lachlan battled hard for six hours against the steelix until finally Scythe was victorious, and they captured him. He is dedicated and protective, as well as very, very hard headed.
