They were very insistant that she go into the military to become a ranger and become just like her proud papa. But rangers handled pokemon differently. They were soldiers, weapons that were used to combat the criminals in the pokemon world. Her father was determined to keep his little girl from falling into a life of crime, and ending up like the Rockets did at the Silph Co. building in the middle of Saffron. When he helped with the taking down of the Rockets, there was bad blood between the people they let go. People began following her father, who had been up near the top of the food chain of the rangers. He became worried and got his daughter a Flareon, one that he picked up in a dark alley from a shady character, knowing that his daughter needed protection. He got his wife a pokemon too, in hopes that they would protect their new owners if he couldn't be there. Bradley provided questionable assistance to his new trainer. He proved to be aloof but still protecting at the same time. Lola and Bradley's strange bond keeps them together, while still staying apart.

She wanted to go out and see the world and make her pokemon stronger and gain badges. It was something that could give her life purpose so that she could become strong, bu not under the glass roof that the rangers had. Her father was distraught that his little daughter wasn't going to follow in his footsteps but he let it go. He let her go on her journey to become a powerful pokemon master. With Bradley at her side, she set out to explore most of Kanto before she got bored. Everywhere she went, she introduced herself as Naomi Brooks and immediately she was cast in the light of Lieutenant Brooks, after which she got jobs in a snap, other trainers took it easy on her, and gym leaders made her battles much harder. She got tired of it and moved to Hoenn, where she could start over fresh. On one of her first trips out, she ran into a woman who was hawking her wares, selling a Numel for a terribly low price. Naomi, who had just decided to go by Lola, agreed on the low price and began to fawn over her new pokemon. She learned, after letting the Numel from her pokeball, that the pokemon was an absolute powerhouse who rammed into any pokemon who got into her way and left a couple of scars on Bradley from "friendly" sparring matches. When she evolved into a Camerupt, Lola gave her the name of Elizabeth, in hopes to sedate her. Instead, she's used her incredible size for a Camerupt (a whopping 6 foot 4) to stomp on anything that gets in her way. She topples pokemon where they stand, attacks anything that dares to challenge her, and just is a general badass.

She decided that a team of fire and ice would be delightfully ironic, considering how she'd strayed from the path of her father, a powerful grass-type trainer. She looked around for weeks for an ice type before she came across an adorable Smoochum, who had only just been hatched and had wandered out of the daycare. It only took a weak attack from Bradley to injure the poor thing enough for Lola to capture her. After taking care of the Smoochum, which she decided to call Smoochie, she found out the little pokemon had a love for books. not picture books, she always slapped those out of Lola's hands. Real books that took hours and hours to read out loud . Lola began reading as many books as she could, training every day with her three pokemon and then reading to them late at night. Elizabeth would just grumble and look for a Bulbasaur to kick while Bradley pretended to sleep but listened to every word. Her Smoochum perched in front of her, always rapt and attentive of her trainer who was learning just as much as her adorable new pokemon. Smoochie became more and more adorable, always prancing around when Lola went shopping and eventually convinced her trainer to buy a pair of glasses that they were passing in the mall. Smoochie now wears a pair of glasses, fashioning herself as a 'bookworm' whenever she starts talking to other pokemon.

He had an adorable Magby who she would always feed a little treat to whenever she and Smoochies came to the library to spend the day there. Sometimes the little Magby would wander over and listen for a while before she got bored. Eventually, Lola fell in love with Maggie the Magby and approached the librarian to ask for another date, if he wouldn't mind. Excited to have gotten a date, he agreed happily and they made plans for the next week. She brought along Bradley and he brought his Persian in hopes that the two would get along. They didn't. But Lola was enjoying the date. He was funny and nice and respectful to her the whole time. Until she walked him home. She thought it would be a nice idea, since he was a great guy and everything and she saw no reason to say no. When they got to his front door, however, he didn't seem to understand that no meant no. He wrestled her in and Bradley got knocked down the stairways by the angry Persian and she was forced into his apartment. A dazed Maggie sat on the sofa. After it was over, Bradley was seen by the landlord, trying to burn a hole through the door. Not recognizing the upset Flareon, he tried to get around him to knock on the door to ask if everything was alright. When the owner got distracted, Lola lashed out and kicked him in the face, knocking him back onto the floor. She threw the door of his bedroom open, grabbed the Magby and screamed as she threw open the hallway door. And that was the end of that. To this day, Lola doesn't know what happened to that librarian. But she loves her adorable, if quiet, new Magby.

She started partying, much to the chagrin of her sweet Smoochies and Maggie. She started drinking in an attempt to erase what happened to her and just start all over again every night. Soon, she stopped wanting to be a pokemon trainer. She just wanted to party every night and meet as many people as she could. One day she ended up in the lap of a mysterious stranger who looked upon her kindly, no matter how much she slurred and pressed against him. He took her back to his apartment, her laughing and stumbling the whole way until she was finally inside. He treated her like a proper woman. He allowed her to use the bathroom to get freshened up, he took off her high heels, and he kept telling her how beautiful she was, without actually laying his hands on her. It was a complete change. Someone really respected her. She talked to him for a long time. Once she'd sobered up, she could talk to him about everything. He listened and provided the appropriate responses and then he gave her some advice. He asked her to join the protection of his organization. She asked him what it was and he explained the Rebel Forces to her. Amazed and confused at the same time, she listened to his plea. After such a night of wonder, she agreed to join the Forces with him. In the next few weeks of meeting everyone, he gifted her with a strong Glalie who is loyal to her and only her. She doesn't know where he got it from, but she knows better than to ask. Leslie is a loyal companion who protects Lola whenever anything gets rough and she sticks by her side whenever she needs it.

Well, not at first. At first, she was lost and confused with no where to go. No skills, no abilities that she could use. But she discovered that her ability to seduce people could be used for her job. So she went on her first mission and it ended up being a success. As she was leaving, however, she and Bradley stumbled up to a Spheal who seemed to look adamant about not moving out of her way. Every time they tried to move past her, she would hiss and bounce back and forth to keep them from going past. Bradley finally had to start a battle, which the Spheal seemed to be delighted about. It actually ended up being a tough battle, because of the Spheal ability to dodge Bradley's area fire attacks so well. Finally, he distracted the Spheal with a flashy fire move and then took her down with a body attack, stunning her long enough for Lola to catch her. The cute little Spheal is a bundle of energy and Lola can never really tell what Sofia is thinking, no matter how much she tries. She's a big ball of energy that can't be avoided.
