Her parents were always very busy, so they usually left her on her own, with just the beach and her books for company. She preferred reading to swimming and would often just sit out on the beach with a book and read. A little Dratini was her only company, coming out of the water just to listen to her read aloud. Little Locke has been her constant companion ever since and the only Pokemon she'll ever consider having on her team. He adores her just as much.
