Only small, barely noticeable waves could be seen washing up along the beach. A short distance away from the shore however, there seemed to be something stirring under the surface, as small bubbles could be seen appearing on the surface. Seconds, later, something appeared above the surface. That 'something' was the head, of Hoss Palkan, who had come to Undella in hopes of exploring the grand underwater scenery that was said to exist just offshore of its white sandy beaches. Hoss' could be seen to be wearing a diving mask, which covered his eyes, and nose, as well as a mouthpiece, which connected to an oxygen tank on his back via a black tube. Only a split second later, something else surfaced right next to Hoss, which appeared to be orange in color, and was definitely not human. Hoss had often brought his Floatzel along diving with him, and today was no exception. He never went diving alone, knowing that as skilled, and experience as he was at it, the possibility of drowning if his breathing apparatus malfunctioned would always be there. Having a diving partner significantly reduced the risk of drowning, especially if that partner was a fast swimming water-type Pokemon with a flotation sack around its neck. As Hoss surfaced from beneath the surface, he immediately removed his mouthpiece, and said to Floatzel, "That's enough for now. My tank is almost out of oxygen. Let's get back to shore." The two then began to kick their way, back to the shoreline. Although Floatzel could've easily beaten its trainer back to the shore with its Agility, it held back, making sure that Hoss was still safe. Both of them knew that when it came to the sea, nothing could be left to chance. Once they had gotten close to the shore, Hoss found that the water was now shallow enough for him to stand in. He then began to remove the vest which was directly attached to the heavy oxygen tank, as Floatzel looked on. As he did so, he wondered whether any of the beach-goers in the vicinity would take notice of him. [/style] |
