However, while she is friendly to everyone, Esme is wary of real, solid friendships. She's insecure and has some trust issues, so actually becoming good friends with her requires time - she won't really open up about herself until she feels like she knows and trusts you completely. Romantic relationships are even harder for her - a bad relationship just two years ago combined with aforementioned trust issues means Esme needs someone sweet and patient who can get her to lower her barriers.
