It was because her other siblings lived here. Noelle, Leighton, and Reyahn. They all lived here, Rey with his wife and their daughter Mallory (almost always called Rory), Noelle on her own, and Leighton coming to visit Noelle every week. Her parents had even lived here once when both Noelle and Reyahn were young. It was how they had met and fallen in love... The blonde cringed at the word. Love, it had made her bitter and utterly depressed. It also reminded her of how he was as happy as ever with his new wife while she was barely holding herself together. She was in so much pain, agonizing pain and no one, especially him, even cared... Her footsteps were light, timid in a way that was so foreign to the Rebel Forces member. She couldn't even remember the last time she had felt like such a fragile thing, one more crack away from shattering. Perhaps it was when she was a child, when her mother was alive and well. She was different back then, hardly the girl she knew today. Sure, she had always been feisty and stubborn, but she knew when to stop back then. Now, she never knew when enough was enough until pain shot through her whole body. The blonde kept walking, her mind reeling with thoughts that were both good and bad. Lately her mind was just too jumbled for her own liking. It was always filled with ideas or thoughts or excruciating realizations. She just wanted it clear, most likely because it was probably the cause of her vivid nightmares. They caused her to wake every night, sweat drenching her body as her chest heaved, scrambling from her bed to the bathroom out of fear that she'd lose everything she had ate prior to falling asleep. They ruined her and made her so weak, so fearful. Those agonizing dreams happened at least five times a week, maybe even six or seven. She had begun to believe that they had truly begun to haunt her, mainly after having had the same torturous nightmare for close to two weeks. She just wanted them to stop, but how...? Her pace was slow as she moved through the busy streets of Goldenrod, her once lively chocolate brown eyes searching for something, anything. She just needed something to do, something to dedicate herself to for the time being. She brought her journal with her, so perhaps she could find a nice bench to sit on so she could write. Chocolate brown eyes fell upon a worn wooden bench that was currently empty, perfect for a writing session. The blonde crossed the street to the bench and lingered for a minute, running her burned, cut, and calloused fingers over the worn wood of the bench. It felt smooth yet grainy and she found the corners of her mouth tugging up into a small smile, her hands dropping from the wooden bench. She smoothed her jean mini skirt out and sat down, straightening her Heart Kreuz tank top out before setting her bag down. Her hands went to open her bag and with a soft sigh, she had her journal and pen in her hands, ready to write. tags, anyone. words, |
