True that most of his time had been spent tripping his way after his best friends, Lachlin and Jareth, but even then the girls he'd met seemed superficial at best. While Dal might be looking for more, they were more interested in a single night that he, perhaps stupidly, had always hoped would develop into more. It was funny, he thought amusedly, girls always worried that guys wouldn't call them back. Then he'd met Koda, and to be honest, Dal wasn't exactly sure how it had happened. He'd been enlisted to help her rescue her pokemon from rebels - something he was still working tirelessly on - and then next thing he knew he was falling for a pair of pretty eyes and a brilliant smile. He didn't know how she did it, but when he was around her, Dallan didn't feel so ashamed of his inability to walk across a flat surface without falling over at least three times. A situation that hadn't changed on his way to meet her for a date. In the space of ten minutes, he'd tripped and spilt hot coffee all down his front - which he had then had to replace due to Koda's suggestion he carry a spare around - then managed to walk into three different people, accidentally groped a woman, and faceplanted a pole after tripping over an uneven patch of ground. In the following ten minutes after he'd picked himself up, he'd dropped the flowers he'd bought for her twice, managed to save the chocolate and walked into two walls and a pole. It had ended with him standing in their meeting place, trying to straighten the bent petals of the flowers and brush his jeans off at the same time. It didn't help that he was almost painfully curious about what Koda had dragged him out to this particular spot for. His eyes moved constantly trying to spot her in the crowd - though he doubted it would be hard to spot his spastic girlfriend. He'd probably hear her long before he actually saw her, or maybe she'd just pounce on him (that made him look around suspiciously, for a moment looking as though he actually belonged in his chosen profession). "I hope I'm not late.." [/style] |
