Aibo is always by Gold's side, or on his shoulder, helping him out in sticky situations and pulling through in battles whenever Gold calls for him. he's a little mischievious, but will never let his trainer down whenever he's needed. Aibo evolved after perfecting Double hit and has continued to be one of Gold's most trusted Pokemon.

POLIBO NAME: Polibo SPECIES: Politoed GENDER: male EGG GROUP: water 1 group MOVES: bubblebeam hypnosis double slap water gun body slam wake up slap hydro pump ice ball THE POKEMON: After being stolen with the rest of it's housemates at the beginning of Gold's journey, Polibo drifted away in the river nearby. So while the rest of his housemates were being rescued, the Poliwag was left alone to get stolen again by a Granbull way on down the river. Gold traveled through several cities to find him and eventually caught up with and saved him along with helping the Granbull get to a Pokemon Center. While saving Jasmine from a collapsing tower, Gold and Silver became trapped and were left to depend on Polibo. It was there when they desperately needed help, Polibo was able to evolve into Poliwhirl. Even with his new evolved state, he still didn't have enough power to help save them. Thanks to Silver's quick wit, Gold traded Pollibo, along with the King's Rock, to Silver causing him to evolve again into Politoed which gave them just the water power they needed to escape. Loyal and strong, Polibo never disappoints and is called on countless times in battle to help Gold win.

EXBO NAME: Exbo SPECIES: typhlosion GENDER: male EGG GROUP: field group MOVES: blast burn gyro ball smokescreen swift flamethrower quick attack double kick defense curl THE POKEMON: Exbo was a Pokemon that was technically stolen from Professor Elm's lab, though Gold never really saw it that way. he simply took Exbo to help the Professor get back the Totodile from Silver, but it ended up being a much longer journey than Gold had planned on it being. It took a while for Gold and Exbo to really bond as Gold had trouble in the beginning believing in the little Cyndaquil. Determined though to get back it's friends, Gold begins to trust Exbo and they become a great team. Exbo evolved into Quilava after battling several Pokemon while training in the Pokemon Day Care Center and became a lot stronger because of those battles. While trying to save Lugia at the end of the arc, Lugia goes wild and tries to hurt Gold, Silver and Crysal. While protecting their trainers, all three of their Pokemon, including Exbo evolve into their final stages and are able to save them. Exbo has a fiery personality that never seems to burn out, a perfect choice for Gold's partner.

SUNBO NAME: Sunbo SPECIES: Sunflora GENDER: female EGG GROUP: grass group MOVES: absorb pound bullet seed razor leaf solar beam leaf storm leech seed seed bomb THE POKEMON: While on his travels, Gold has a run in with Falkner who is training his Pokemon against a wild Skarmory to get them ready to take the exam to become a Gym Leader. Unable to do it alone, Gold gets an idea and catches one of the runaway Sunkern to help boost Exbo into the air to get a good aim at the wild Skarmory. Thanks to Sunbo, Falkner was able to defeat and capture the Skarmory and became a member of Gold's team. Sunbo evolved into Sunflora during the battle with the masked man and is constantly called upon to use Sunny Day to 1-up Exbo's fire attacks during battles.

SUDOBO NAME: Sudobo SPECIES: Sudowoodo GENDER: male EGG GROUP: mineral group MOVES: dynamic punch low kick rock throw faint attack rock tomb sucker punch wood hammer headbutt THE POKEMON: Gold met Sudobo during the battle race against Whitney that the two of them did for DJ Mary's radio station. The Sudowoodo had blocked the road, hiding itself from a Rhydon that it had somehow pissed off. In hopes of helping the scared Pokemon, Gold captured it and allowed it to stand up to Rhydon. Afterwards, Sudobo decided he wanted to tag along with Gold and he happily agreed. Sudobo has a jolly nature and won't hesistate to help out in or out of battles.

TOGEBO NAME: Togebo SPECIES: Togekiss GENDER: male EGG GROUP: flying and fairy group MOVES: fly sky attack aura sphere air slash extrasensory peck magical leaf last resort THE POKEMON: Entering Gold's party as a egg, Togebo was given to him by Professor Elm's assistant to help hatch and raise. A mysterious Pokemon that no one is really sure about, Togebo travels with Gold until it eventually hatches into a Togepi. Togebo has a lot more strength than it looks like he does and surprises Gold several times along his journey. Gold was told by Lance that Togebo wasn't evolving because Gold wasn't trusting in it's strength. After taking this advice, Togebo was finally able to evolve into a Togetic and soon after evolved into Togekiss with the help of a Shiny Stone. Togebo has a very naughty personality and will often get itself into trouble, but it still a Pokemon that Gold trusts very much.

It had been a long time since he had been home, it was going to be real nice to see Mom and all of the family Pokemon again and was definitely going to be nice getting all the praise that was normally waiting for him around the streets of the little town. Gold had already been well known before his Pokemon Journey, but now that he had been travelling and making a name for himself, he had gotten even more and more and he was enjoying it fully. he hd to admit it was nice to be able to go home and actually stay put for a change rather than just barging in for a quick hello and leaving. his mom missed him and Gold was determined to spend a good deal of time wither her to make up for it. Night was coming and the wild Pokemon that surrounded the outskirts of the city were all beginning to nestle into bed. Gold wasn't too much further from New Bark Town so soon he would be able to do the same. Within minutes, he was able to see the edge of the little town and from where he was walking he could already see one smiling face waiting for him; mom. A grin crept across the young boys face as his walk turned into more of a strut. Gold puffed his chest out in hopes that his cool nature would impress his mother and as he looked down to check on Aibo, he was doing the same. Suddenly the aroma of food filled the air, an aroma that was unmistakable. his mouth was already starting to water as he smelled his mom's home cooked food and though he didn't realize it, his stepping picked up. As he closed the space between them, his smug grin started to grow. It had seem like ages since he had seen his mother, he had gotten used to being on the road, but he definitely missed her. he gave her a thumbs up and offered another giant grin.
